RUGBY NEWS - Gloucester head coach Johan Ackermann and his son Ruan are being investigated over a nightclub incident that left a man with facial wounds.
The altercation occurred in Cheltenham, southwest England in the early hours of Sunday, following Gloucester's 69-12 win over Zebre in the European Challenge Cup.
Former South Africa player Johan Ackermann, 47, and 21-year-old Ruan, a back-row forward, joined Gloucester prior to the current campaign.
"Gloucestershire Constabulary is investigating a report of an incident which happened at the 21 Club in Regent Street, Cheltenham in the early hours of Sunday morning, 17 December," police said in a statement on Tuesday.
"The allegation is that there was an altercation between two groups of men, during which one of the men sustained facial injuries.
"The incident was reported just before 1.30am (0130 GMT). Police officers arrived shortly afterwards, but all those involved had left the scene.
