HEIDELBERG NEWSFLASH - Ancha Adams, the Protea karate athlete, was part of the prestigious Protea award Gala Dinner Banquet on Friday 14 July at the Blue Lagoon Conference Centre, Durban.

At this event, she and the other Karate South Africa athletes were honoured by Karate South Africa. These awards were for all Karate South Africa athletes who represented the country during 2016 and 2017 karate championships.

Adams represented South Africa at the Africa Union Sports Council Region five karate championships in Harare Zimbabwe during May 2016, where she won a silver medal.

All the Protea karate athletes were recognized by SASCOC and issued certificates to that effect. She is really excited about being recognized for her achievements, representing her country in these events.

She thanked God for giving her the opportunity to be able to participate in these events and the community of Heidelberg and all other sponsors opening doors for her.
