The Southern Cape team, consisting of Sonja Bland (captain / Fancourt), Margie Pienaar (George), Desiree Geldenhuys (Fancourt) and Sarah Blythe-Wood (Kingswood) fared well and returned with great honours.
After an initial disappointment of finishing 5th in the stroke play qualifying round they went on to win the B2 Division. In the process they beat Free State/ Northern Cape 5-1, drew 3-3 with Limpopo and won by 4,5-1,5 against Mpumalanga.
The proud team was managed by Gill Norgarb from Plettenberg Bay.
