RIVERSDALE - A team of Riversdale police officers and a Riversdale Neighbourhood Watch member arrested a man for dealing in drugs on Monday morning, 29 June.
A Southern Cape Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Malcolm Pojie, said the arrest was made at a premises in Leo Street, Riversdale, just after 08:30 that morning.
The team, consisting of Constable JJ Jacobs, Sergeant Thurlow Davids, Constable Jayden Michaels and neighbourhood watch member Ronald Witbooi, had executed a search warrant at the premises and found 25 ziplocked bags containing 25 grams of what is believed to be tik and a small quantity of tablets, suspected to be Mandrax.
The man was expected to appear in the Riversdale Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 30 June; however, it was not known by the time of going to press whether he had.
