HESSEQUA NEWS - The fire is under control. The deployment of an aerial resource was crucial in gaining control and containing the head of the fire, especially preventing it from spreading to structures and into vast inaccessible terrain.
This was supplemented with intensive efforts from ground crews in difficult terrain encroached with highly flammable vegetation.
Mopping up will continue right throughout the evening by GRDM Fire Services.
Crews will be on high alert for wind inconsistencies and gusts.
