HESSEQUA NEWS - The fire near Still Bay is not completely out of control, also not under control, with the head of the fire burning in inaccessible terrain.
This, however, is slow moving downhill at this stage, and is burning away from several wooden structures on the east of the fire.
Wind gusts were the main challenge earlier. However, the temperature is cool at this stage. No structures are under immediate threat at this stage. The unpredictable wind and gusts remain a threat however.
Ground Crews are on the scene performing 'mopping up' at the back of the fire. The helicopter started water bombing at 13:51 and are working on the head of the fire which is burning in inaccessible terrain.
