Die streek is geseën met groot hoeveelhede reën wat vanaf Dinsdag 14 tot Donderdag 16 November uitgesak het en weer Dinsdag 21 November. Volgens Suid-Kaap Forum se korrespondent op Riversdal, Keith Eksteen, is 72 mm tot Donderdag gemeet. In Kerkstraat het die water die stormwaterdreindeksel opgelig omdat dit nie die druk kon hanteer nie.
