De Jager, who was the stand-out player in the Springbok team at last year’s World Cup, so much so that he swept the Player of the Year award, is set to start alongside Eben Etzebeth to reform their partnership in the test arena when coach Allister Coetzee announces his team on Thursday.
And while De Jager is the big name who returns, meaning that Pieter-Steph du Toit will be on the bench for the clash, he isn’t the only change the Boks are currently mulling for the test match this weekend.
Coetzee could make up to five changes to the team that beat Ireland in the third test thanks to injury and overseas commitments of players.
