RIVERSDALE NEWS - Cyclists that took part in the Transcape mountain biking journey enjoyed a beautiful and well planned scenic route, fortunately Riversdale was on the planned route as well.
Stage three was from Hartenbos to Riversdale. It is known as the roller coaster stage of 102km with ascend/climb of 1600m.
TransCape is an iconic seven-day South African mountain biking journey over 614km taking 270 intrepid adventurers over seven incredible stages and 10 200m of vertical ascent from the picturesque Garden Route town of Knysna to Franschhoek in the Cape Winelands.

As described on the Transcape website this is how stage three came to an end in Riversdale: "But alas, what goes up must come down and there is good news to follow.
The final 20km is mostly downhill and flat to Langenhoven High School.
On the last 3km you'll have the privilege of riding along Langenhoven Street, the oldest street in Riversdale, which is lined with beautiful old historic houses, before finishing at Langenhoven High School in the centre of this beautiful town."
