NETBALL NEWS - Netball is one of the fastest growing sports countrywide. Locally, a talented netball player from Thembalethu was selected to represent the Eden region in the South African male netball championship that will take place in Rustenburg in North West. 

The national netball championship for men will kick off on 27 March and the last games will be played on 1 April.

Lubabalo Fillies (25) is a full-time student at South Cape College George Campus, where he is doing his last year in office administration. In order to participate in the nationals, he must raise R5 500. 

The funds will go towards accommodation (R2 600), travelling expenses (R1 400) and the attire (R1 500).

Fillies needs help from the community and would be very grateful for any donation, big or small.
