GARDEN ROUTE GOLF NEWS - The highly anticipated Ladies@Home golf competition was held at Pinnacle Point Estate on Friday, 6 November.
Weeks of hard work and planning, spearheaded by ladies' club captain Marianda de Villiers, paid off, setting the scene for a spectacular event.
The popular tournament was well attended by affiliated players representing their local clubs. This year's cheerful theme, Bee Happy, created quite a buzz and was well received, with the joyful ladies dressing up in yellow, black and white.
With less than favourable weather on the cards, most ladies were able to complete 15 to 16 holes before heavy rain challenged the remaining play. Despite the downpour, the scores reflected great golf by all the contenders.
Congratulations to Pinnacle Point's very own Queen Bees, Annemarie and Lynette Wolhuter, on claiming the 2020 Pinnacle Point Ladies@Home champions' title with a superb 48 points. In second place on 46 points, Mariana Melville and Emri Vlok, from Oubaai and George GC respectively, managed to overcome the valiant efforts of Marianda de Villiers and Aletta Greyling by means of a count-out.
"Thank you to everyone who attended the fun-filled day. A special thank you goes to all the sponsors."
