CRICKET NEWS - Beaufort West (114/4), who defeated Western Hope (111 all out) by six wickets, and Harlequins Forces C (103/5), who won by five wickets against Mayflower (100 all out) in the semi-finals last weekend, will contest the final of the Reserve Division 1 competition on Saturday.
In the Reserve Division 2 final on Sunday, the Knysna Cavaliers B and Sussex C will battle it out after semi-final victories against Sussex B (won by 137 runs) and Calitzdorp Young Stars (won by seven wickets) respectively.
In the Promotion League, with a 54-run bonus point victory against Ladismith (210 all out), the Plett Pioneers (264 all out) have strengthened their place for a top-three position.
George B (216/9) are also in contention for a place in the play-offs after they won with 65 runs against Mossel Bay (151 all out).
The Ramblers’ (172 all out) aspirations to reach the top three were hampered by the NMU Madibaz (185 all out), who won by 14 runs.
Heidelberg United (210 all out) won the Hessequa derby against Riversdale (176 all out) by 34 runs.
