NATIONAL NEWS - The Pick ‘n Pay Marathon will take place on February 14 and will provide runners the opportunity to play their part in breast cancer awareness and fundraising.

As part of the PinkDrive, a public-benefit organisation that provides free breast cancer screening and education for women around the country, the race is dedicated to assisting the worthy cause..

This year runners will be able to personalise their profiles, set a fundraising target and tell the story behind their marathon or half-marathon ambitions.

Last year, together with their supporters, runners were able to raise a whopping R35 000 for PinkDrive; that total is set to be even greater this year 6000 runners have already registered for the race.

Menawhile the Proteas cricket team will also add their voice to this incredibly worthy cause on Friday when they will be proud in pink at Wanderers when they face England in the fourth Momentum ODI.
