Nel, an Athletics South Africa level two coach, is coaching these athletes.
He said: "We are hoping for two or three local athletes to be added to the team, depending on their results at the SACSSA regional championships in Mossel Bay on 21 August."
The national championships take place on 24 and 25 September in Durban. Athletes have to pay for their own transport, accommodation, clothing and participation in the championships.
Companies willing to support these athletes by means of sponsored prizes (for raffle tickets) or cash sponsorships can contact Nel (083 265 0798, jannie-nel@hotmail.com). "We will give all companies who support these athletes the maximum exposure possible," Nel said.
