Stellenbosch Mediclinic’s Dr Jaco Laubscher, says ill Covid-19 patients still present normal lung function, but have very low oxygen levels.
This points to blood clots.
He says ventilators are useless and that by measuring the coagulant state, specific treatment can be administered with life-saving results.
