NATIONAL NEWS & VIDEO - Facebook and a variety of other social media platforms have shown their support for Joseph Phukube, a homeless man who has taken to the streets with his matric certificate with the hope of finding a job and has received over 1 000 replies and job offers.
The 22-year-old Phukube, who is originally from Mpumalanga, was noticed by Sandton resident Pam Green who saw his matric certificate and curriculum vitae and posted a picture of him on Facebook.
Green said she asked 20 of her friends to share the post to help Phukube find employment. Following the initial post on 29 June, his story has been shared over 22 500 times on Facebook.
