STILBAAI NEWS AND VIDEO - The Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM) is responding to a wildfire near the community of Melkhoutfontein in the Hessequa municipal area.
Hessequa Municipality responded as the first responders, with GRDM Riversdale firefighters also deployed to the scene.
Aerial resources were activated through the Western Cape Provincial Disaster Management Centre for the initial response.
This will ensure that the fire is suppressed promptly and does not escalate into a larger uncontrollable wildfire.
