STILBAAI NEWS - The Still Bay Animal Protection hosted a successful Mad Hatters Tea Party at the golf club on Monday 14 May as a fundraiser for the organisation.
More than 50 ladies wearing something on their heads, varying from the smallest of hats as it could fit in the palm of your hand, to a nicely decorated toilet seat, hats decorated with dog biscuits, flower arrangements and even a huge ice cream cone, attended the high tea party in aid of this non-profit organisation that does not receive any funding from the government.
With prizes, a fashion show and interesting talk by the local gin distillery, the tea party was the first of its type of fundraising activity hosted by the organisation, whose other fundraising projects include monthly jumble sales.
They are also hosting First Response Workshops in Stilbaai where pet owners are being taught on what to do and how to stabilise their pets between the time something happens and the time they get them to the veterinarian.
Interesting hats were worn at the Mad Hatters Tea Party.
