HEIDELBERG NEWS - A 13-year-old boy has been confirmed as the fourth fatality as a result of a horrific two-vehicle collision on the N2 outside town this morning.
According to the Heidelberg Police Station’s spokesperson, Sergeant Keeno Fredericks, the boy succumbed to his injuries after he was transferred to Riversdale Hospital.
He was a passenger in the white SUV involved in the collision.
Fredericks confirmed that the other two occupants of the SUV, who were declared dead on the scene, were the driver, a 42-year-old man, and a passenger, a 44-year-old woman.
The other person who was declared dead, was a passenger of the 22/25-seater bus also involved in the collision, who is thought to have been in her 30s.
No other information is available at this stage.
