A talent scout and a beauty pageant organiser and director, Karen does much work for charity as part of her job.
She organised an Anti-Bullying Fun Run in Hartenbos in April to raise funds for survival camps and anti-bully workshops for children.
In May, she and the contestants in the Eden SA beauty pageant collected a substantial amount of food and equipment to donate to Oudtshoorn Dogs in Need (ODIN).
