GEORGE NEWS - At least one flight to the George Airport was cancelled earlier today, while two were diverted because of foggy weather.
Conflicting reports arose earlier about whether flights were able to land or depart.
Brenda Vorster, George Airport manager, said that SA8621 (expected between 08:00 and 08:30) from Cape Town could not land and had to return to Cape Town. The flight was eventually cancelled by the airline.
Flights SA8631 form Cape Town (eta 12:15) landed at 12:40 and MN925 from Johannesburg (eta 13:00) landed at 12:37.
Two flights that were diverted to Cape Town, have also landed in George.
No information regarding other flights is available at the moment.
