STILBAAI NEWS In this day and age the use of plastic is inevitable, but we have to be responsible users. We cannot just use and discard unconsciously without consequences to the environment.
"We should not inflict harm onto nature; nature has no voice to object and without nature, we will starve. We are the custodians of this planet and should hold ourselves responsible for keeping our planet pollution free," said Miranda van Aardt of Coastal Cleanup Conservation.
"Uneducated people pollute, because they don't understand the harm they cause to the environment. Education is the answer, especially the children because they are still prepared to learn and through them can be trail blazers towards more responsible plastic use - to recycle.
"If we all work together in any way possible, we can win this war on pollution. If we can have blue flag beaches all year round, what about green flag towns all year round?
"The more participate, the lighter the load on just a few."
