STILBAAI NEWSFLASH - In this day and age the use of plastic is inevitable, but we have to be responsible users, we cannot just use and discard unconsciously without consequences to the environment.
"We should not inflict harm onto nature; nature has no voice to object and without nature, we will starve.
"We are the custodians of this planet and should hold ourselves responsible for keeping our planet pollution free," said Miranda van Aardt van Coastal Cleanup Conservation.
Stilbaai is a coastal town and it is a massive holiday destination for thousands of people - a perfect opportunity to educate thousands.
If only a hand full of people can already make a difference, only imagine what thousands can achieve.
"If we all work together in any way possible, we can win this war on pollution. If we can have blue flag beaches all year round, what about green flag towns all year round? The more participate, the lighter the load on just a few."
