Update
GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - A self-proclaimed drug dealer from Albertinia, 58-year-old Senobia Vertyn, received a hefty sentence in the Mossel Bay Regional Court yesterday, Monday 25 April.
Vertyn was arrested in December 2016 on three charges of dealing in drugs after a successful undercover police operation was executed at her residence in Albertinia.
During the operation Vertyn sold Tik and Mandrax to the value of R13 900 to an undercover agent.
In 2017 Vertyn was granted bail by the Western Cape High Court to the amount of R10 000.
Police said that Vertyn’s arrest derailed the supply chain in the area as they were able to engage the local supplier and micro dealers directly.
Vertyn was sentenced to seven years and six months direct imprisonment for dealing in drugs.
