HESSEQUA NEWS - The Ahmed Kathrada Foundation invites young people between the ages of 15-21 to express their interest in the Youth Essay Writing Competition Against.
Your essay should be in one of the South African official languages. The competition, which is in its second year, will close on Mandela Day, 18 July.
First prize for the top writer is R5 000 and a laptop, runner up will receive R3 000 and a laptop and third prize is R2 000 with a laptop.
Topics for the competition remain:
- A future free of racism
- Tolerating racism is racism
- Root out racism
Choose a topic and write an essay of minimum 1 000 words and maximum 1 400 words. Essays containing plagiarism will be disqualified. Only one essay per entrant is allowed.
