STILBAAI NEWS - The Stilbaai Animal Protection (SBAP) will be hosting a first response workshop.
The workshop is to advise owners what to do with their pets in the case of an emergency and what owners can do to stabilise and pacify their pets between the time that something happens and the time when a veterinarian can be reached.
It will be presented by Elaine Hardy, who has more than 20 years of experience and will take place on Saturday 17 March from 09:00 to 12:00 at Die Waenhuis at Jagersbosch.
The cost is R100 for members of the Friends with Benefits programme and R120 for non-members and include both 'parents' of the pet.
Workshop goers will receive a comprehensive medical booklet, which addresses many of the topics covered in the presentation, while there will be an opportunity to order specific medicines that owners might not have at home in case of an emergency.
All proceeds from this event will be used for the ongoing work of the SBAP in the Hessequa area.
Booking is essential as the number of attendees is being limited to assure that the audience can be effectively addressed.
