GARDEN ROUTE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - The South African singing legend Coenie de Villiers will enthral the audience with hits from his 40-year career at the Bravo Lounge at Tsogo Sun's Garden Route Casino on Friday 5 October.
Coenie's first foray into the music industry was the release of a recording in 1978 that won a Sarie Award, along with widespread recognition for its originality. This was followed by 20 albums over the past four decades, which garnered three South African Music Awards and numerous other accolades, including the South African Council of Arts and Sciences' medal of honour.
In addition to performing in Canada, England, Holland, Belgium and New Zealand, he has worked with the likes of Jonathan Butler, Hugh Masekela, Sibongile Khumalo, Gloria Bosman, David Kramer, Karen Zoid, Laurika Rauch and Kurt Darren.

"This will be the third time that we will host Coenie and we encourage fans to get their tickets soon, because each time he performs here it's a sold-out event," says marketing manager Karen Johnstone. "His appearance is a reflection of our commitment to bringing the best in South African talent to the Garden Route and to giving our guests intimate experiences with these stars."
Tickets are available at Garden Route Casino cashiers, Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers stores, as well as at www.gardenroutecasino.co.za. Tickets cost R150 per person, with discounts available for Rewards cardholders. Doors open at 18:30 and the show starts at 20:00.
