Witsand-duine word gerehabiliteer
In 'n poging om die duine-probleem op die dorp daadwerklik aan te spreek het Hessequa Munisipaliteit die firma 'Coastal Environmental Services' aangestel om omgewingsgoedkeuring te bekom vir die volhoubare bestuur daarvan. Die arbeidswerk aan die duine word in drie fases verdeel waarvan Fase 1 die belangrikste is. Dit is tans geïmplementeer en behels die terugstoot van die duine langs die munisipale pad en die gedeeltes voor die Opstalletjie, asook die hervestiging en rehabilitasie.
