The squad was expected to begin a first training session in Cape Town later in the day. Friendly matches are planned on Wednesday against Ajax Cape Town and on Sunday against Chippa United in Port Elizabeth.
Belgium Under-21 international Malanda was killed in a car crash in heavy rain on a German motorway Saturday while on his way to join the squad to fly to South Africa.
Wolfsburg delayed their departure by a day as a result of the accident.
Police in Bielefeld said Monday an initial investigation had shown that 20-year-old Malanda, a passenger in an SUV, was not wearing a seat beat.
Malanda was thrown from the car, which skidded off the motorway and overturned several times, landing on its roof. He died at the accident scene.
No other vehicle was involved in the crash, which police said probably resulted from a failure "to adjust speed to the weather conditions."
A speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour would have applied in rainy conditions on the particular stretch of the A2 motorway near the western German town of Porta Westfalica.
The driver of the vehicle and another passenger were injured but have been released from hospital.
According to Belgian side Anderlecht Sunday, defender Anthony D'Alberto from the club's Under-21 team was one of the persons injured in the crash.
Police meanwhile dismissed speculation in Belgian media that the driver of the vehicle did not possess a driving licence.
