NATIONAL NEWS - The head of exploration at National Geographic says what Professor Lee Berger and his team have achieved with the latest fossil discovery is something most scientists never achieve.

Within the next two hours, the world will learn more about a discovery which looks set to raise questions about human existence.

The discovery has been kept secret for years and is said to involve the largest treasure trove of fossils ever found on the continent.
