MOTORING NEWS - Cape Town racer Julian van der Watt bounced back last weekend when he brought his US Formula 2000 machine home to two strong finishes as the series visited Toronto, Canada, for the sixth round of the championship.
Van der Watt qualified ninth for the first race on the tricky street circuit before racing to 11th in the opening race. Starting 11th on the grid in race two, he finished fifth to relaunch his 2018 championship charge.
"At last, a great race on the streets of Toronto," he said. "The car was amazing and the team did a great job. We have had a few bad breaks over the past few races so it was great to be back on top of things."
