RIVERSDALE NEWS - The Garden Route District Municipality Council elected its Whip, Councillor Betsie van Noordwyk (Democratic Alliance) on Monday, 21 February, during an ordinary council meeting.
In terms of Section 41A of the Local Government: Municipal Structures Amendment Act, 2021, council may elect its own Whip.
Van Noordwyk is also a ward councillor at Hessequa Municipality and a resident of Riversdale.
