WITSAND NEWS - Celebrate International Coastal Clean-up day with the Lower Breede River Conservancy Trust (LBRCT) on Saturday 16 September.
According to Marzanne Carelse, LBRCT Environmental Education Officer, every year people around the world join in the world's biggest volunteer effort to combat marine pollution and clean up debris.
"To date, plastic has been found in 62% of all sea birds and in100% of sea turtle species.
"Everyone's participation can make a difference or even save a sea animal. Join us on Saturday. Bags and gloves will be provided."
They will meet at Kraaltjie at 08:00.
