HESSEQUA NEWS - The wildfire is still active. About 85% of the head on the west was secured, however an inaccessible part spread in a south westerly direction toward Gouritsmond and Stillbay Coastline.
The crews managed to safeguard all structures last night.
Today's objectives are to stop the fire-flank from spreading south-west as well as to suppress it.
A reconnaissance flight is currently being undertaken to asses the full extent of the wildfire area and to identify exposures in the line of the wildfire.
Roleplayers include GRDM, Hessequa Municipality Fire Services, Working on Fire, Albertinia Farmwatch and a SCFPA (WoF) ground crew.
