GARDEN ROUTE DISTRICT SURF NEWS - Male and female surfers aged 18 and under participated in the Eden Surf Riders Junior Trials in Mossel Bay's Innerpool on Sunday, 23 May.
The surfers competed for a place in the Eden surf team to compete at the South African Junior Championships in Jeffreys Bay in September.
Organiser of the event, Thalia Pollock says the waves were "a bit all over the place", with a low tide and a gentle offshore breeze at the beginning of the contest on Sunday.
"The conditions were pretty inconsistent, but as the tide started filling, in the conditions improved and we had a great day of waves, ranging from three to four foot, with the odd bigger set out the back."
