RUGBY NEWS - When Trevor Nyakane was left out of the Vodacom Bulls side in the opening round of Vodacom Super Rugby, eyebrows were naturally raised.
After all, Nyakane was an incumbent Springbok, one who had been a regular across the last two Springbok coaches and had 80 plus Super Rugby caps.
It was almost as if the collective of rugby fandom wondered if he was to meet the same fate as Bok halfback Rudy Paige, who was considered surplus to requirements and eventually released from his contract to now join the Toyota Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.
