SQUASH NEWS - The Mossel Bay Squash Club successfully hosted the first Garden Route Junior Squash Open from 27 to 29 September.
This exciting event was held at squash courts at the Mossel Bay Golf Club as part of the Sport and Recreation Festival. Junior squash players from across the country, including from East London, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein, Paarl and Pretoria, made their way to the Garden Route to compete.
Among the participants was national U15 champion Christian Swanepoel from George, who showcased his exceptional talent by winning the boys' U19 division.
In the girls' section, South African junior Protea Chanté Leppan displayed her dominance, affirming her status as one of the country's top junior players.
Both of the runners-up, Ross Smorfit and Hanrie Duits, are also from Eden. Ross is from George and Hanrie from Great Brak.
