STILBAAI NEWS - Young golfers involved in Southern Cape development golf played in a tournament on Sunday, 25 May at the local golf club.
More than 100 youngsters took part and enjoyed a day of good golf and weather over 36 holes. The Southern Cape Golf Union, through their Junior Golf division, runs the tournament once a month at different venues within the Southern Cape. It is for registered school going juniors, boys and girls.
The tournaments are played in different divisions and age groups; (A-division (registered handicap of 9 or less), B-division (registered handicap of 10 - 18).
The aforementioned divisions play medal stroke play. C-division (registered handicaps of 19 - 36) play stableford along with the u.13 age group. The u.13 age group has a medal strokeplay competition in addition to the stableford competition.
Girls and u.13 boys play from the ladies tees. Most of the players attend schools in the Garden Route.
