At a media briefing held in George this afternoon Grant called on all residents to assist the police with their investigation into the violence.
“We have CCTV footage but we want to compliment the information that we have with information that the public might have.We need statements in order for the detectives can do a proper investigation. We do not want to rush this process. But I can tell you something; we are going to come down hard on the perpatrators.”
He said this is an important project for the future of George that they have been working on for nine years, costing R2.27-billion.
