Following the death of Pierre Brits on May 8, the bodies of a couple of Luthango Street, Smutsville were discovered at their home on Monday, May 11.
According to Sergeant Chris Spies, the body of the 30 year-old woman was found in the living room with a rope around her neck. "The body of the 30 year-old man was found in the bedroom with an open wound in his neck."
A neighbour speculated that the woman and her boyfriend passed away together on Sunday, May 10.
While their names are known to the Knysna-Plett Herald, the man and woman have not been officially identified to the media by the police.
Spies concluded: "A case of Murder and an Inquest Docket were opened for investigation."
