GEORGE NEWS - The Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) in an update on the weather impact on flights at George Airport says flight disruptions that began yesterday due to severe inclement weather conditions will continue.
"The weather conditions have not improved around the airport and the wind direction still favours Runway 11, whose instrument landing system (ILS) flight procedure is still under maintenance.
"Therefore, operations may still be impacted even today. However, yesterday’s flight disruptions were minimal with only three flights cancelled," says Mphilo Dlamini, head of corporate affairs and communications.
