This comes after he was accused of raping a 15-year-old girl at a popular restaurant in Greenside, Joburg last Friday.
According to the girl’s family spokesman, the girl went to the restaurant with friends.
“Apparently she went to the toilet and he grabbed her and raped her inside one of the toilets,” he said.
He said the girl lives with her mum but after the news reached the family, the father tried to open a case with no success.
He said Winnie Madikizela-Mandela asked the girl’s family to give her family time to deal with the issue.
“Instead, Winnie’s bodyguard went to the family pretending to be a cop. The father was told there was no need to arrest the suspect but when the father asked to see his badge, he didn’t have one. It turned out he had been sent by Winnie,” he said.
Sunday Sun reported yesterday that after a meeting at her home in Soweto, Madikizela-Mandela promised to hand her grandson to the police.
She also said she would call a press briefing. However, none of that happened.
