GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - A wildfire broke out Thursday (20 February) on Seekoeigat Farm, north of Heidelberg. According to a press release from Garden Route District Municipality, the Seekoeigat wildfire is fully contained.
GRDM firefighters, CapeNature ground crews, and landowners successfully managed a flare-up last night, and the area has been thoroughly flushed.
All fire lines are cold, and the wildfire is officially declared extinguished.
