HESSEQUA NEWS - The Provincial Disaster Management Centre (PDMC) confirmed that the weather warning for today and tomorrow, 24 and 25 September, has been upgraded to an orange level 9.
This is the highest level ever in the Western Cape. The Knysna storms in 2017 was a level 8.
The Overberg will be receiving heavy rain from Sunday afternoon. Gale force winds with strong wave action are also forecasted and can be a problem to low lying coastal areas and small harbours.
