Western flank on the West side of the Duivenhoks River is out of control after a failed backburn attempt by farmers.
Extra resources were deployed to this flank.
Eastern Flank: Burning in a southern direction towards Puntjie. Backburn operations will commence at the road between Vermaaklikheid and Puntjie in an attempt to contain the flank.
The "Head" of the fire has devided into the above mentioned flanks.
All active fire flanks are still out of control.

Should weather conditions change as predicted and backburn attempts fail, approximately 100 houses including farm houses and other infrastructure, as well as the houses at Basjans Bay and Puntjie will be at risk. (Mostly thatch roofs)
EVACUATIONS:
None at this stage all communities are well aware.
WEATHER CONDITIONS:
Light South Easterly wind conditions until 22:00.
Changing into a Northerly wind causing high risk at Basjans Bay and Puntjie.
AERIAL RESOURCES:
Spotter stood down at 16:00.
WOF chopper stood down at 17:00 due to their maximum flying time.
Private chopper of Kobus Crouse stood down at 18:45.
