KNYSNA NEWS - For two days this week, young learners from all over the Garden Route will be able to attend and enjoy the Garden Route Careers Festival set to be held in Knysna today and tomorrow, 13 and 14 July.
The festival is being hosted by the Western Cape Community Education and Training College (WCCETC) on the Knysna High School sports fields, and aims to give over 2 000 unemployed individuals and schoolgoing youth the opportunity to engage with sector education and training authorities (Setas), as well as public and private training providers.
Many schools in Knysna and surrounds will look to bring their learners to the festival, and the WCCETC expects to attract 32 exhibitors with various training and personal development programmes available to eligible applicants.
This initiative, while led by WCCETC, is done in coordination with the Garden Route District Municipality and its Garden Route Skills Mecca, funded by Services Seta, and is open to the public.
