The group visited the country mainly for charity work under disadvantaged people who can't afford dental services, eye care or glasses.
Every year they go to another country where they haven't be before. The volunteers consider it a privilege to be in the position to help others, because most of the expenses come from their own pockets.
Several informal settlements in the Western Cape have benefited from this charity work. The last week of their stay is usually used for a vacation and it was during this time that they have came to Riversdale for coffee and carrot cake at the Old Jail.
