WESTERN CAPE NEWS -  Approximately 11 km of the N2 east of the Baden Powell Drive Interchange (R310) and the R102 intersection before Somerset West will receive a new asphalt layer.

"Lane closures associated with the maintenance works will only be affected between 20:00 and 05:00, as to limit the impact on road users.

Road users are requested to exercise patience, caution and adhere to the reduced work zone speed limits at all times, to ensure the safety and safe passage of both the road user and the construction teams," says Randall Cable, Sanral's Regional Manager.

The anticipated completion date is April 2019. Freeway commuters are also advised to visit www.i-traffic.co.za and subscribe to receive real-time traffic alerts and notification of incidents.

Contact details for emergencies will be displayed on the signage in the construction area.
