STILBAAI NEWS AND VIDEO - A chilly drizzle did not dampen the enthusiasm at a remembrance ceremony held in Stilbaai on Sunday morning 10 November.
Although the tradition of Armistice Day originated from the anniversary of the cessation of hostilities in World War I on 11 November 1918, Stilbaai organiser Richard Webb pointed out that the day has gained far wider relevance.
Sunday’s wreath laying and cross planting called into memory the sacrifice of anyone who ever perished in uniform.
