GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The Garden Route International Film Festival (GRIFF) takes place from this Wednesday, 2 August, until Saturday, 5 August, at the Diaz Hotel, Mossel Bay.
An actor from the acclaimed movie, Hotel Rwanda, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, is one of the judges for the festival.
There will be a green carpet opening night and movie screening on Wednesday. On Thursday, there will be a glitzy movie night with the dress-up theme, Denim and Diamonds.
A black tie event takes place on the final night, Saturday, when the winner of the festival movie-making competition will be announced.
There will be various film screenings, educational workshops and opportunities for businesses to network and become part of the growing film industry in the Garden Route area.
For actors, there is even the opportunity to learn how to do stunts.
Various festival passes are available, depending on your particular interests. Tickets are available for each of the "event nights".
The festival also offers a drive-in alongside the Diaz Hotel, for those who will enjoy a drive-in movie experience. There is truly a variety of events and something for everyone.
